The Country Dancer is a 20 page, monthly newsletter which promotes Country-Western Dancing. While serving primarily Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, it has many features of interest to the Country Western Dance community at large. Regular features include: dance-oriented reviews of newly released Country Singles and CDs; a step description of a "Dance of the Month"; brief descriptions of new dances being taught by area instructors ("The Grapevine"); a calendar of dance locations and events; a map showing the location of C/W dances in the region; thoughtful articles and interchange on C/W dancing; and a regularly updated "Dance 'n' Music Finder" which lists and categorizes line and partner dances by tempo range ("beats per minute") and rhythm type (2 Step, Swings, Shuffle, Cha Cha, Waltz, Polka, etc.). The latter is an especially helpful tool for selecting dances for songs and vice versa.

A subscription for one year (12 issues) costs $15.

Jo teaches several line and partner dances, moves for 2-step, ECS, and WCS, and offers lots of little tidbits, including teacher tips, dance floor etiquette, and info on her travels to various dance events. Dance Link is online, but seems to be more for ordering Jo's items that providing information. For instance, there are no step descriptions here, not even for Jo's dances!?!
